PropertyinParaguay was founded in 2025 by two Dutch entrepreneurs: Rik van Amelsvoort and Yaro Deckers.
With strong roots in both the Netherlands and Paraguay, we guide you from A to Z in building your wealth and starting a new life in a country full of freedom and opportunity. Rik van Amelsvoort
Rik is an experienced real estate investment broker in the Dutch market. He specializes in rental investment properties and mainly deals in off-market opportunities through his private network of investors. These are properties that rarely appear on public platforms — and from which his network directly benefits.
Yaro Deckers
Yaro has been coming to Paraguay since he was six years old and calls it his second home. With over six years of experience in sales and a strong entrepreneurial background, he has built a solid local network. His father, Rob Deckers, is a successful entrepreneur and owner of RMR Shipping and MD Trucks — companies with over 35 years of experience in international trade and transport, and still going strong today.
This background provides a unique combination of knowledge and mindset: we don’t think in terms of problems, but possibilities. Where others stop, we find solutions. What some see as obstacles, we see as a reason to act. This entrepreneurial spirit, combined with real-life experience and a search for true freedom, allows us to offer our clients something rarely found elsewhere.
To Yaro, Paraguay is what Dubai was 10 to 15 years ago: a country full of potential, freedom, space, and opportunity. And he wants to share that vision and sense of adventure — with people ready for their next big step.

1994
The Start
Our story begins in the 1990s, when my father, Rob Deckers, and a group of friends sold everything they owned and saved up for a great adventure. In old Peugeots, with no GPS — only a paper map — they drove from Berkel-Enschot to Nigeria. There, at the port, the first car was sold — marking the start of a journey that would grow into a global trade mission spanning from Africa to South America
Building a reliable network
Over the years, thousands of trucks have been shipped from Europe to Paraguay, and a network has been built based on trust, honesty, and mutual respect.

Yaro: Built on Legacy
Since 2019, I, Yaro Deckers, have been active in our family business, guided and inspired by my father. From a young age, I traveled with him, observed, listened, and learned. As I completed my education, my entrepreneurial spirit grew alongside me. Today, we’re building something new — a project and vision for you and your family. Rooted in experience, driven by trust, and fueled by ambition for the future.
Rik: Hobby to Investment Vision
My real estate journey began in 2020, during the COVID period. I dove into courses to deepen my knowledge and quickly took action by purchasing my own investment properties. What started as a personal interest soon became a professional passion.
This led to launching my own deal sourcing business. I gained hands-on experience working with a real estate agent before branching out independently.
Today, I specialize in sourcing off-market properties for investors — creating valuable opportunities and delivering unique, profitable investments to my network.

In 2025, our paths crossed by chance during a workout. What started as casual conversations quickly turned into something more — shared ambitions and the realization that our backgrounds fit together seamlessly. Rik brought his expertise from Dutch real estate, I brought my international roots and family legacy.
